WCVB-TV Anchor Randy Price Named Grand Marshall of the Inaugural North Shore Pride Parade.
The first North Shore Pride Parade and Festival will take place in Salem, MA on June 30, 2012. The parade will kick off at noon on Margin St. and work its way through Salem until it reaches the Salem Common, where the North Shore Pride Festival will take place from 1:00 – 5:00 PM. There will be live music, food and merchandise vendors, and an opportunity to learn more about North Shore Pride and the LGBT community.
The mission of North Shore Pride, Inc. is to promote the general welfare, enhance the social life of the, lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community of the North Shore, and to encourage acceptance by the broader North Shore community.
There are lots of ways to get involved with North Shore Pride. The parade is still accepting volunteers for the day of the parade. The picture posted of a person with the American Flag and LGBT Flag stuck in the Backpack is very good but is incorrect - the American Flag should always be to the right of any other Flag our left as we are looking at it - and the wooden pole of the American Flag should always be on the top when they are crossed - but it was a good picture .
