5 Things To Start the Day, July 30

Your daily guide to the events and happenings in Danvers.

Welcome to 5 Things, your daily resource for community events and happenings in Danvers.

1. Danvers Concert Series: Tonight's free show starts at 6 p.m. at the Rotary Pavilion, and will feature The Brian Maes Band

2. Do you use Pinterest? We made a Danvers Patch Pinterest page full of our Hey Danvers What's for Dinner recipes, nature shots, and more. Check it out here

3. Rail Trail News: The Trail Committee recently received a $1,300 grant from Cell Signaling Technology’s Corporate Donations Committee for its new “Greening up the Danvers Rail Trail” program.  Plans call for the installation of 20 planters at key intersections along the Rail Trail featuring an assortment of spring bulbs and seasonally appropriate flowers. Boy Scout Troop #155 will sponsor and manage this “adopt-a-planter” program, slated to begin next spring. For more information on how to participate, click here

4. It wasn't in Danvers, but we still thought it was pretty cool that Adam Sandler and Kevin James checked out the North Shore Music Theater's production of Annie on Saturday night. Check out a photo the theater posted on their Facebook page

5. Today's Weather: Mostly sunny, with a high near 76.
