5 Things You Need to Know on Halloween

Safety tips for Halloween, a costume contest reminder, and more in today's special Halloween 5 Things.

Happy Halloween! Here are five things you need to know today, October 31 in Danvers.

1. Today is your last opportunity to enter our Halloween Costume Contest. We have had some GREAT submissions, and would love to see a local charity receive the grand prize. You have until tonight at 9 p.m. to upload your photos!

2. Starting at 9 a.m. today Connors Farm is hosting its annual Halloween Kids' Days. The $10 admission cost includes the corn maze, hayrides, bounce house, costumed characters and trick-or-treat candy. Parents of children are free.

3. Snowtober is behind us! If you have some photos from Saturday's historic snow, be sure to upload them here. The National Weather Service is forecasting mostly sunny skies, with a high near 50 degrees today. Be sure to bundle the kids tonight-temperatures are expected in the low 30's.

4. Halloween in Danvers might not get as much recognition as it does in Salem, but there is still a ton of history to explore. Here are eight spots in Danvers connected to the Salem Witch Trials.

5. Don't forget to stock up your candy for trick-or-treaters tonight! Check out the Danvers Police Department's list of safety tips for Halloween night.
