Today is Tuesday, Aug. 30. Here are five things you need today in Danvers:
1. A message from the Department of Public Works & Danvers PD: Starting Wednesday morning at 6 a.m., Liberty Street will be closed between High Street and Elliott Street for paving. Work will continue through Thursday and Liberty Street will be closed until paving is complete.
2. The National Weather Service is predicting sunny skies with a high of 80 degrees. It doesn't make us want to get into the back-to-school mood, but we'll enjoy it while it lasts!
2. The Kiwanis Club of Danvers meets today at the Danversport Yacht Club at 12:15 p.m.
4. We continue to have great submissions for our Photo of the Day. In case you missed it yesterday, we had a complete gallery submitted by Maryellen Hodgkins, from Saturday's fundraiser at Town Hall, hosted by Danvers High School boys and girls soccer teams.
