Today is Wednesday, Aug. 31. Here are five things you need to know today:
1. Reminder from the Department of Public Works & Danvers PD: Starting today at 6 a.m., Liberty Street will be closed between High Street and Elliott Street for paving.

4. Tonight at 6:30 p.m. North Shore Community College will be hosting a Career Night. This free opportunity will be held on the Danvers campus.
5. Don't forget- The town will be opening the Transfer Station this Saturday, September 3, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. for Danvers residents only (no commercial vehicles) for disposal of brush. No sticker or fee will be required.
