Are There Too Many Fast Food Restaurants in Danvers?

Taco Bell was the town's most recent addition to the fast food options and another McDonalds is expected soon.

The fourth McDonalds restaurant in Danvers is nearing a grand opening on Endicott Street - the second new fast food restaurant on the road in the past year.

It will be added to Taco Bell, which recently opened, plus Burger King and Wendy's.

McDonalds is opening at the former site of the Crab House. And for a time there was a proposal to open a Margarita's restaurant on the property, but it was withdrawn.

McDonalds is planning a late October or early November opening but an exact date is still in the works, according to McDonalds spokeswoman Courtney Mahoney.

Fast food restaurants are often found together in many communities. But are there too many along Endicott Street? If so, what else would you prefer?

Tell us in the comments.

You can have too much choice? I would like it better if they weren't all on Endicott Street, or if, perhaps, Endicott Street could be made more pleasant to travel. But there's no problem with having one of every type of fast food outlet in town. Danvers also boasts many pizzerias, sandwich shops and full restaurants. All of this simply means that Danvers is really the town that has everything.

If they are all managing to stay in business then guess there aren't too many. I like te McD's on High St. Everything is always fresh. Sure do miss some of the old "family friendly" restaurants that were on Endicott St. years ago. Perfect location for a chain steak house or something that offers diner/home cooking
type food and moderately priced. Remember the Roast House that was in tha mall. That would probably thrive on Endicott St.

Great source for jobs. Like a previous comment says if they can all survive the economy as it is then bring um on.

Funny how a region changes over 50 years, eh?
