Danvers Fire Gives Mutual Aid at Salem Blaze

Danvers and other area fire departments responded to the scene of a blaze at a downtown Salem apartment building Friday afternoon.

A contingent of Danvers firefighters responded to the scene at 98 Washington Square in Salem Friday afternoon to help fight the blaze at a 21-unit apartment building. These Danvers firefighters are building on a nearby street.

Several North Shore fire departments, including Danvers, cooperated Friday afternoon to battle the Washington Square blaze in Salem.

Mutual aid responders arrived from Peabody, Marblehead, Beverly, Lynn, Lynnfield and Nahant, as well.
