Danvers Native in Critical Condition After Being Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver in S.C.
A 2006 graduate of Danvers High School is in serious condition in a South Carolina hospital after being struck by a hit-and-run driver last weekend.
A Danvers native is in critical condition with brain trauma after being struck by a hit-and-run driver last weekend in South Carolina, according to a report by WIS-TV.
Lindsay Bires, 24, is a 2006 Danvers High School graduate, according to her Facebook page. She recently moved to South Carolina with her boyfriend for work as a nurse, her boyfreind, Dan Powers, told the TV station.
She works at Palmetto Health Richland Hospital in Columbia and was standing on a sidewalk near the hospital at 3 a.m. on Sunday when she was struck, WIS reported. The only description of the vehicle was a small, white compact car.
Family members told the station she has brain trauma.
According to the Facebook page "Prayers for Lindsay," which had 1,388 "likes" on Thursday evening, she had her "third, and hopefully last, major surgery" on Thursday morning.
