Danvers High School Falcon Band and Chorale Ensembles (Womens and Chamber Singers) are getting ready for their annual holiday concert on Wednesday, Dec. 15 and Thursday, Dec. 16, with two shows at 6:30 and 8 p.m. each night.
Friends and family of freshmen and junior students are asked to attend Wednesday, while sophomores and seniors are asked to come Thursday.
Due to construction at the high school, the performances this year will take place at the Holten-Richmond Middle School at 55 Conant St.
This free public concert - which has been a staple of the season for decades - will include a variety of favorite holiday selections. The evening features the Falcon Band and both the Womens and Chamber Singers Ensembles, each doing a selection of three to four songs and a finale that includes all participants.
On sale that evening will be the bands just-released holiday CD. Proceeds of the CD go to the band's upcoming 2011 trip to Pearl Harbor, where they've been asked to play during the 70th Anniversary Memorial celebrations.
The CD can also be purchased by e-mailing: DanversPME@yahoo.com, or through any current band member.
