Maine Earthquake Shakes the Region

An earthquake was felt all across the North Shore, and in Danvers, on Tuesday evening.

 

An earthquake centered in Maine shook the North Shore on Tuesday evening. It occurred at 7:12 p.m.

The quake, a 4.6 on the Richter scale according to the U.S. Geological Society, was centered in Lake Arrowhead, Maine, which is in York County about 30 miles west of Portland and 90 miles north of Danvers.

No major problems or injuries have immediately been reported in the Danvers area.

Centered in Rhode island here...also felt the effects of the earth quake apartment shook substantially... Very surreal time...
