Welcome back, Patch Blogger!

From The Editor: Saying Goodbye To Danvers Patch

Local Editor Molly Buccini shares her experiences with Danvers Patch, and talks about what she'll be up to next.

Danvers Patchers,

I have some bittersweet news to share: This is my last week as Local Editor for Danvers Patch.

Before I tell you what I'm up to next, I wanted to say a huge thank you to each and every reader who has shared their stories, photos, announcements and thoughts. You are what make Danvers Patch a success, and we wouldn't be here without you!

When I joined Patch last May, I had graduated from college about a week earlier, and 'green' was the perfect word to describe me. I was excited, but with that excitement, there were definitely nerves.

I can say, thankfully, that everyone in Danvers--from town officials, to business owners, to residents who I've met along the way--have been so supportive of Patch and our endeavors, and I'm forever grateful that I was able to start off in a welcoming community like Danvers!

So what's next for me?

I'm excited to say that Patch is (finally!) launching a Beverly Patch, and I'm even more excited to say that I've been selected as its new Local Editor.

I hope you will all jump over the border every now and then to check out Beverly Patch, which will launch on Aug. 23.

Bobby Gates will be taking over Danvers Patch starting on Monday, and I'm confident that I'm leaving you in good hands! Bobby has been with Patch for more than two years, as Hamilton-Wenham Patch's Local Editor. He can be reached at RobertG@Patch.com

Thank you again, Danvers…I'm glad I won't be too far away!

-Molly

christina holz also commented on POLL: How Are Route 128 Changes Affecting Your Commute?.

"It would be great if Patch did a followup on this article. I can't believe it hasn't gotten further (and more recent) coverage. The survey Patch posted shows that an astounding 90% of people who answered feel that traffic/their commute is now WORSE than it was before these changes were enacted."

Pressure our politicians to fix our 128 changes, (return them to the previous set-up) before someone is hurt or road rage takes place. Or...replace our local politicians!!!!

Take a few minutes to count how many commercials you are required to watch during your next TV program. How many minutes of commercials per half hour...and how many minutes of program.
