Honda North, a member of International Cars, Ltd., is hosting a Spooky Spectacular Blood Drive today from 1-7 p.m. at its location at 382 Newbury St. in Danvers.

Everyone who donates blood will receive a free lunch and refreshments, and they can give the prize wheel a spin to try and win car details, oil changes or other prizes from the dealership. Donors are also encouraged to don some Halloween guises as well.

"We're proud to be hosting our third blood drive this year," said Richard Collins, general manager of Honda North, in a press release. "We're happy to have the Danvers community come together with us to give to such an essential cause. Together, we make an important impact for blood supplies in our community."

Some of the blood facts are that hospitals in New England need 2,000 units of blood daily to meet their basic demand to treat patients in emergency care, those with diseases or in those need of organ transplants, and the only supply source is blood from healthy donors.
