Heavy Downpours and Localized Flooding Possible Friday Afternoon
Thunderstorms and damaging winds are expected Friday afternoon into Friday evening.
A hazardous weather outlook has been issued for Danvers and surrounding nearby areas of the North Shore on Friday afternoon.
The National Weather Service reported showers and thunderstorms will be rolling in Friday afternoon and evening.
"Thunderstorms may contain very heavy downpours and cause localized street flooding. Some of the thunderstorms may also contain strong wind gusts," the weather service reported.
Some storms may be severe with damaging winds, according to weather service.
No severe storm watches or warning have been issued.
As of 3 p.m., the leading edge of a well-defined rainstorm was crossing Route 495 and headed east.
