How is Danvers Honoring the September 11 Anniversary?

A program is planned on Tuesday at the Danvers Fire Department to remember the victim of Sept. 11, 2011.

The Danvers Fire Department will remember the victim from the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2011 in a program in front of its High Street headquarters on Tuesday.

The program will start at 9 a.m. with coffee.

At 9:55 a.m. the trucks will be rolled out onto the ramp and there will be a ceremony that will include lowering the flag and then raising it back up. There will also be a few speakers during the 10 minute program before the trucks are put back in the station, according to Acting Chief Jim McPherson.

Among the victim in the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks in 2011 was Danvers resident Karen Martin, who was a flight attendant on Flight 11.
