How to Register to Vote in Danvers
In honor of National Voter Registration Day, we’re giving you all the information you need on how and where to register to vote.
If you haven’t yet registered to vote, get it off your to-do list now.
Tuesday is National Voter Registration Day, and thousands of local, state and national organizations have mobilized to make sure millions of people don’t miss the chance to cast their vote in this year’s elections. Locally, there is an event planned in Salem plus several events in Cambridge plus several neighborhoods in Boston.
Six million people didn’t vote in the 2008 elections because they either did not know how to register or because they missed the voter registration deadline.
The voter registration deadline for the General Election in November in Massachusetts is Oct. 17.
Here’s information on how you can register in time for the Nov. 6 elections:
- Fill out a voter registration form in person at the Town Clerk's Office at Danvers Town Hall during regular business hours, Monday-Wednesday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.; Thursday, 8 a.m.-7:30 p.m. and Friday, 8 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
- Download a voter registration form from the Secretary of State's website and send it to the Danvers Town Clerk's office at Town Hall, 1 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA 01923. The form is also attached to this story as a PDF.
