IMAGE GALLERY: Snowy Downtown Post Blizzard

Scenes from around the downtown on Monday as motorists continue on their way and residents and store owners shovel out from the blizzard. Snow blanketed the region mid-afternoon on Sunday and didn't let up until Monday morning.

By late morning, the major roads in town were clear of snow and traffic rumbled through the square. Those out shoveling and blowing snow through the afternoon were still buffeted by strong winds. The National Weather Service says the winds, gusting up to 50 mph at times, will last through the day and urge motorists and pedestrians to observe caution while out and about.

Do you have photos from the blizzard you'd like to share? Even if you didn't decide to venture out into the elements, we welcome all photos chronicling your blizzard day adventure. We want to know what you're doing to keep yourself (and the kiddos) occupied — puzzles, pizza-making, arts and crafts — anything goes on a snow day.

Moved to Texas in December, 2004, from Danvers. Lived off the Square for 30+ years. Lovely pictures, but certainly do not miss the shoveling and cold!!
