UPDATE: Large Fight at Wedding Reception Results in Two Arrests
Mass. State Police responded alongside Danvers Police to control the crowd at a Danversport Yacht Club wedding reception.
Massachusetts State Police were requested to assist the Danvers Police Department after a fight broke out during a wedding reception, early Sunday morning at the Danversport Yacht Club.
Danvers Police arrested Darlene DeIorio, 45, of 430 Malden St. in Revere on charges of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, and Paige Cinelli, 18, of 679 Washington Ave. in Revere, on charges of disorderly conduct.
DeIorio pleaded not guilty to charges of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest during her arraignment Monday in Salem District Court, the Salem News reported.
Patrolman Scott Frost's report stated the situation began, according to employees, when the groom began yelling at an employee when his brother was denied a drink at the bar.
Then, when a member of the bride's family asked him to calm down, he grew more enraged, punched a wall and began tearing the coat room apart, as well as punching the bride's brother, the Salem News stated. Subsequently, the groom's mother, DeIorio, started attacking the bride's mother.
State Police spokesman Dave Procopio said troopers from Danvers, Newbury, and Revere responded to assist Danvers Police at the Yacht Club, on 161 Elliott Street at 12:20 a.m.
Once the police placed DeIorio in the cruiser, she got her cuffed hands in front of her and was pounding on the window, while her mother, the groom's grandmother, was demanding that police release her, according to the Salem News.
The groom will be summonsed to a clerk's hearing on assault charges at a future date, according to a Danvers police prosecutor.
Procopio said troopers assisted with the arrests and the dispersal of the crowd. He said the scene was cleared at 1:05 a.m.
Later, at 1:15 a.m., police were dispatched to the Marriott TownPlace Suites after receiving a request to help keep the peace. Police placed a 20-year-old Revere man who had been at the wedding in protective custody.

Jim, you're an idiot! If Mr Guido wasn't there this would have been a whole lot worse..His family had nothing to do with it...It was all the grooms family..Mr Guido worked directly with DPD and the State PD to help control the situation...Get your facts straight before you start name dropping

You are absolutely correct Fred! The Groom is a dirtbag and is in bed with his uncle (mother's brother) a career criminal. I was there and the groom caused it all, with his cocky "I'm better than everyone" attitude. I hope the bride's brother doesn't drop the charges and goes forward. And I was not on the bride's guest list!
