UPDATE: Large Fight at Wedding Reception Results in Two Arrests

Danvers Police arrested Darlene DeIorio, 45, of 430 Malden St. in Revere on charges of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, and Paige Cinelli, 18, of 679 Washington Ave. in Revere, on charges of disorderly conduct.

DeIorio pleaded not guilty to charges of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest during her arraignment Monday in Salem District Court, the Salem News reported.

Patrolman Scott Frost's report stated the situation began, according to employees, when the groom began yelling at an employee when his brother was denied a drink at the bar.

Then, when a member of the bride's family asked him to calm down, he grew more enraged, punched a wall and began tearing the coat room apart, as well as punching the bride's brother, the Salem News stated. Subsequently, the groom's mother, DeIorio, started attacking the bride's mother.

State Police spokesman Dave Procopio said troopers from Danvers, Newbury, and Revere responded to assist Danvers Police at the Yacht Club, on 161 Elliott Street at 12:20 a.m.

Once the police placed DeIorio in the cruiser, she got her cuffed hands in front of her and was pounding on the window, while her mother, the groom's grandmother, was demanding that police release her, according to the Salem News.

The groom will be summonsed to a clerk's hearing on assault charges at a future date, according to a Danvers police prosecutor.

Procopio said troopers assisted with the arrests and the dispersal of the crowd. He said the scene was cleared at 1:05 a.m.

Later, at 1:15 a.m., police were dispatched to the  after receiving a request to help keep the peace. Police placed a 20-year-old Revere man who had been at the wedding in protective custody.
