Letter to the Editor: Elect David Thomson

A letter from Danvers business owner Jeanne Hennessey.

Dear Editor

For the last five years I have had the pleasure of working with David Thomson in many capacities. Beyond the fact that David's firm, Thomson Communications, has handled my business communications; we have worked on several charitable events together. David shares my passion to as he says "Doing well by doing good". Plus he has raised much, much more through his other efforts.

How then does this translate into a good candidate for School Committee? Through all of our dealings I have watched David as he has met with committee members for various organizations, volunteer groups and facility management. He has a keen ability to listen to what is being said and diplomatically facilitate these conversations to cut to the root of a situation offering insightful ideas. He is well-organized, intelligent and professional in all his dealings.

Beyond David's professionalism and perhaps most important is his devotion to his family. His wife and three girls come first. He is very involved in the girls' lives from school work to athletics. This is why I believe the Town of Danvers would be fortunate to have him on our School Committee, and I urge Danvers voters to vote for him on May 1st.

Jeanne Hennessey

I could not agree with this statement more "He has a keen ability to listen to what is being said and diplomatically facilitate these conversations to cut to the root of a situation offering insightful ideas. He is well-organized, intelligent and professional in all his dealings." I have also known Dave for many years as a member of Danvers Youth Soccer Board of Directors and this IS Dave Thomson. He will contribute a great deal to the school committee
Thanks
