Hennessey is receiving the 2012 Exemplary Philanthropy Award.
Jeanne Hennessey, owner of Lorraine Roy Designer Collections in Danvers, is being recognized by the Huntington’s Disease Society of America for her outstanding charitable initiatives at their annual event on May 19th at the Boston Marriott Newton.
Hennessey, who raised $50,000 for the HDSA by hosting “A Night at the Bellagio” charity fashion show in 2010, will be receiving the 2012 Exemplary Philanthropy Award.
“I’m very honored and humbled to be receiving this recognition,” says Hennessey. “I didn’t do it alone; the support I got from the community was incredible and played a huge role in our success. I was thrilled to give to a cause that is so close to my heart.”
