There is a "Swamp Monster" out there on the Swamp Walk.
The Danvers Swamp Walk is believed to be longer than its companion at the Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary, according to someone who helped build both of them. Maybe that is because the Swamp Walk turns with added length coming from going around natural features in the swamp.
The "deckmasters" - Dave Saunders and Mark Wagner - complete the Swamp Walk.

The Danvers Swamp Walk has been completed and the "Friends of Swampwalk" will host an inauguration ceremony in the spring. The group also plans to continue having ad-hoc fun by adding new features, interpretive signs, tables and benches.

The walk is a loop through the swamp off the Danvers rail Trail on the north end, near Choate Farm.

Take a look at some photos from the final work.

Thank you to everyone that helped make the Danvers Rail Trail and Swampwalk! Can't wait to take our cub scouts for a walk.

Not only is the trail a great resource for nature study, birds, exercise and showing how beautiful a swamp can be, but the building of the walk itself is a fine example of building skils.. Thanks
