UPDATE: Police ID Officer Struck By Construction Vehicle

The officer sustained serious, but non life threatening injuries.

 

A police officer was struck at the High Street / Route 128 work area by a construction vehicle, while working a detail. 

The Danvers Police Department said on their Facebook page "the officer is not a Danvers Police Officer, and has been transported to the hospital for treatment."

The officer has been identified as Boxford Police Officer Robert Corliss. 

The incident occurred around 10:30 a.m.

The officer was transported to the hospital with serious, but non life threatening leg injuries.
