POLL: The Worst School Traffic

Which school in town do you think causes the most traffic problems? Let us know in our weekly poll.

Whether you're a parent waiting to pick up or drop of the kids, a neighbor to one of the public schools in town, or an innocent driver caught up in a jam, there's no doubt about it: school traffic can be a pain.

Each week we poll our readers on the site, or on Facebook about a Danvers related topic.

We've already asked you about the worst places to drive in town.

But, this week we want to know: which public school causes the most traffic?

There is a way to lessen the problem - walk or bike to school. According to the Safe Routes to School Program - 'In 1969, roughly 48% of students bicycled or walked to school. Today only 13% of children do so. And, travel to school can account for up to 25% of all morning traffic.

The Massachusetts Safe Routes to School (SRTS) program promotes healthy alternatives for children and parents in their travel to and from school. It educates students, parents and community members on the value of walking and bicycling for travel to and from school.'
