Raccoon in the Attic, Pig in the Road Reported to Police on Monday

The following is an excerpt from the Danvers Police log:

Sunday, June 3

  • Police were dispatched to the area of Burley Street and Sherwood Avenue at 5:17 p.m. on a report of domestic assault and battery. The individuals in question were gone when police arrived. 
  • A ring was reported stolen on Sherwood Avenue at 7:05 p.m.
  • A male urinating in the road outside 416 Maple Street was reported to police at 11:24 p.m. When police arrived, he was gone.  

Monday, June 4

  • Two people sleeping in the staircase of the Days Inn were reported to police at 3 a.m.
  • A pig in the road on Hood Terrace was reported to police at 8:45 a.m.
  • An Elerton Lane residence was reportedly broken into at 2:19 p.m. The back door was said to be broken in. 
  • A ladies diamond ring was reported lost on Village Post Road at 7:51 p.m.
  • Richard Brooks, 54, of 220 Winthrop St., in Quincy, was arrested at Walmart at 8:35 p.m. on charges of shoplifting. 
  • Police were dispatched to Tipert Street at 9:08 p.m. on a report of a raccoon in the attic. Animal control was notified. 
  • Nicole LeBlanc, 28, of 93 Pickering St., in Danvers, was arrested at the Days Inn at 9:17 p.m. on warrant charges. 

Tuesday, June 5

  • Police were dispatched to Gulf at 12:26 a.m. on a report of an individual panhandling for a ride. 
  • Items were reported taken and a trailer was damaged at Essex Aggie at 6:43 a.m.
  • A table was reported stolen from a Hood Road home at 10:32 a.m. The situation was unfounded.
