Sandra Bullock, Melissa McCarthy Movie 'The Heat' Filming In Danvers Today
Danvers Police Chief Neil Ouellette said residents can expect to see trailers and film equipment on Endicott Street this week.
'The Heat' has come to Danvers.
The Twentieth Century Fox film featuring Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy, is using Denny's on Endicott Street as the setting for one of their scenes, and they've set up base camp at the Liberty Tree Mall.
According to Chief Neil Ouellette, Twentieth Century Fox has rented the Denny's facility for a few days.
The 24-hour restaurant is currently closed to the public. Danvers Police are stationed at the entrance, and unauthorized vehicles will not be permitted in the Denny's parking lot.
The Heat, which has been in production in Boston since April, is about an FBI agent who teams up with a Boston police officer to take down a Russian mobster, according to IMDB.com.

Why would they ever setup near Denny's? The armpit of the community. Homeless people live in the hotel behind it and all. If Danvers had any faults whatsoever, the Denny's and the hotel are it.

Jennifer. As an advocate for gay rights, I wouldn't vote for Mitt Romney if he were the only candidate.

Obviously Hollywood doesn't have a problem with homeless people and neither should you.

I didn't say I had a problem with them. Hell, I sell rooming houses for a living. I have a problem with the hotel housing them for an illegal extended amount of time.

I'm not ashamed to admit I hate the homeless. Not impressed with Hollywood, either.

Ok, so people have issues with the Denny's and the hotel. I get it. What about the fact that these type of productions help the local economy. I know for a fact that the procustion of this movie has helped numerous local businesses. A book store sold hundreds of dolalrs of books for their set. I am sure the Dunkin Donuts, gas stations, food catering busineses, local transportation companies, and many others are benefiting from this.

To Jennifer Johnsons comment above . How can you make such a disgusting statement! You hate the homeless! Do you realize that there are homeless children and mentally challenged people. There are also a lot of homeless "Veterans of War" that defended our country? Noone sets out to be homeless, sometimes circumstances are beyond our control. I just dont understand how you can make such a disgusting statement. God help you ! I strongly believe in Karma.
