The family of Dillon Renard, a teen from Danvers killed in an alleged drunk driving accident in Salem, will host a scholarship fundraiser in his honor at the Beverly Italian Community Center on Friday night.
"Dillon's family has set up this scholarship fund in his memory so we can assist others fulfill a dream that Dillon never had a chance to see come true," the scholarship fund website said.
Renard was killed on June 16, 2012, after the vehicle he was a passenger in hit a tow truck on Boston Street in Salem. The driver, 25-year-old Angelique Griffin, faces charges of vehicular homicide and driving while intoxicated.
Renard's family filed a wrongful death suit in July.
The 'Dream for Dillon' fundraiser will be held from 7-11:55 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 9. Donations are being accepted for a silent auction.
