Sixth Graders Share Recycling Knowledge with Community

Students at Holten-Richmond Middle School were showcased in this year's Danvers Electric Calendar.

13 Holten-Richmond sixth grade students were recognized for their recycling knowledge and artistic abilities in the 2012 Danvers Department of Public Works/Electric calendar.

"This is the best thing that I do," Gail Bernard, program coordinator said at the meeting. "The sixth graders were great. The kids learned a lot and it shows in the posters they made. Not only are they beautiful drawings but they get the point across."

Bernard noted that year is "all about recycling," with mandatory town recycling alongside trash-pickup starting on Jan. 23.

The 13 students showcased in the calendar are: Nora Chan, Ryan King, Olivia DiStasio, Emma Quigley, Alexa Esposito, Tyler Nourai, Alyson Reed, Olivia Foglietta, Alexis Breen, Allison Burke, Casandra Fazio, Riley Geannaris, Caitlin Gagnon.

Announced at last month's School Committee Meeting, Dr. Dana said it was "an exciting meeting to see our sixth graders and their work."

The Town of Danvers DPW Calendar is available at Town Hall and the Business Division.
