Graphic artist and new dad, Karl Struss is following his dreams.

Family: Important to note is the addition of Karl's new baby, Kalia, with Amy January. Kalia was the only new baby born on Halloween at Beverly Hospital. Kalia weighed in at 7 pounds and was 19 1/2 inches long. Kalia was welcomed home by big sisters Emily January and Adrianna Struss. Kalia was also part of another special event: the day that demographers have used as the symbolic date the earth hit 7 billion in population.

Occupation: Digital Illustrator/Graphic Designer. Karl is self employed working at doing what he loves. "Depsite today's economy, there are people out there willing to go after personal goals. That is what I am doing, following my dreams and the career I have always wanted." Karl said, "I do everything I can in house. I design graphics, shirts and whatever else I can from home." Karl is wants to get a jump start on innovation for tomorrow and dedicate himself to what he loves to do. Karl's freelance work includes websites, t-shirts, book covers and posters to name a few.
Karl has written three children's books; The 3 billy Goats Gruff, What Will I Be, and The Big Old Spider and the Little Ladybug.

Hobbies and Interests: Art, Music, playing percussion when he gets the chance. Karl also enjoys spending time with family.
Favorite Book: Faith: God's Gift, by William Creed. Not only did Karl provide the cover for the book, but he feels the book is a refreshing take on faith.
Favorite Movie: "Anything filmed differently. I loved The Cell; from an artists perspective, the filmography was great."
Favorite Shop: . "It's nicely laid out, old fashioned type toy store like you would find in Vermont."
Favorite Eatery: "I love both and , I love them both equally but find myself at Pete's more often, as it's closer."
Dream Vacation: "Something warm like Aruba, Dominican Republic, Mexico, or the Carribbean. I would like to travel more in the future"
How long have you lived in Danvers: "I have lived here all my life, I grew up in Danversport."
Why did you choose to stay in Danvers: "There are still so many people I know here in town. The town itself has maintained its appeal and personally I never wanted to pullup roots and plant anywhere else."
Where would someone see you in town: "I can often be found at picking up supplies. I can also be seen around town in my bright red Ford Explorer with my logo on the back."
What would you like to see changed in town: "Personally I would like to see people pay more attention to their driving; I never see people use directionals." Karl stated, "I also think they are doing a good job with the and it's starting to look good. I would like to see the property tax change, they are getting high."
