For the second time this month, thieves targeted Plains Park on Sunday, stealing money and candy from the Danvers Little League concession stand and $80 from the Jimmy Fund proceeds, the Salem News reports.
On July 12, Danvers Recreation Department's locked boxes full of sports equipment used for youth summer camps were broken into and stolen.
Officer Eric Clarizia said the locks had been pulled off the boxes in the July 12 incident.
In Sunday's incident, Officer Robert Santo told the Salem News they were unsure if the building was locked.
Santo said the incident was believed to have occured 10:30 a.m. and 4:20 p.m. on Sunday, the outlet reported.
