This Week in Social Media
Readers were excited about a new bakery opening in Danvers Square and took part in our poll of which playground in town is the best.
Here at Danvers Patch, social media is a big deal. It’s one of the main ways we interact with you, answer your questions and get to see what’s on your mind. Social Media Saturday is a weekly feature where we highlight your questions and thoughts you’ve shared on Facebook and other media throughout the past week. We’ll also point you to some new and interesting pages you may not have known about before.
Here is a sampling of comments and happenings on our Facebook page and the social media world from the past week:
- Readers were excited to hear that Saralena’s Pastry opened last Saturday, serving up one homemade treat after the next. “Thank you for this article! I am planning on stopping in today! :)” said Susie Turner on Thursday. Amy January was excited to stop in and grab a bite. “Mmmm sounds yummy I am going to have to try this place!” she said. Well, Amy Heufelder McKinnon did on Friday and here’s her report: “Stopped in the other day with my kids, it was great!”
- We polled our Facebook following this week on the best playground in Danvers. Hands-down (or about 65 percent), readers chose the new play space at Endicott Park.
- The Danvers news article that drew the most attention on Facebook this past week was our varsity sports schedule of high school athletics, which is posted every Monday during the season. Close runners up were the announcement that Hyundai Village is offering a reward for the return of its flag and a story on a Peabody man who was finally caught for a string of thefts at Target and Best Buy. He was stealing Nintendo Wii remote controllers.
