Tornado Watch in Effect Until 9 p.m. Friday

A tornado watch has been issued for Danvers through 9 p.m. on Friday.

A tornado watch has been issued for all of Essex County, including Danvers, until 9 p.m. on Friday.

The watch, issued by the national Weather Service in Taunton at 3:30 p.m., means that conditions are favorable for the formation of a tornado. It does not mean that a tornado has been spotted.

The watch also covers much of eastern Massachusetts, including Middlesex and Suffolk counties.
