Town Sweeper Out This Week on Danvers Streets

The Department of Public Works says street sweeping this week will focus on Danvers Square and main roads in town. Most other side streets will be attended to, starting April 22.

The street sweeper is out this week to begin the springtime cleaning for Danvers Square and main roads in town, weather permitting.

An announcement from the Department of Public Works says the town's sweeper actually hit the asphalt April 8 and will be out until April 19 in the following areas:

  • Danvers Square
  • Main roads
  • Locust Street and the sides of Locust
  • Northfield Way
  • Summer Street area
  • Hathorne area

The town has hired Baystate Sweeping & Construction Corp. out of Everett to aid the DPW's efforts in sweeping the remainder of all town streets, starting April 22.
