Police were dispatched to the Comfort Inn parking lot on Route 1 at 11:30 p.m. Sunday night on report of a male and female entering a Maine-plated vehicle, both without clothing on.
The initial report suggested that the female may have been a young adult, with the caller stating that she looked about 10 or 11 years old.
Danvers Police said they issued a "be on the lookout" for the vehicle in case of any suspicious activity, or to check their well being, said Police Sgt. Bob Bettencourt. He said the department contacted the police in Maine where the vehicle, a 1995 Toyota Corolla, was from, but as of this morning they had no received any report.
The situation remains under investigation.
