Two Men Commit Armed Robbery at Days Inn

Police say two suspects held up a desk clerk at gunpoint and made off with cash before 2 a.m.

Police are searching for two men they say committed an armed robbery at the Days Inn on Endicott Street just before 2 a.m. Sunday.

Danvers Police Lt. Carole Germano said the robbery occurred at about 1:50 a.m. at the Days Inn on Endicott Street and was reported by the desk clerk.

She said two male suspects entered the lobby of the hotel and approached the clerk with an object that appeared to be a gun and that was identified by one of the suspects as a gun. Germano said one of the suspects pointed the handgun from underneath his T-shirt.

One of the suspects is described as a black male, 6 feet, 2 inches tall, with a muscular build. Germano said he was wearing a black leather jacket, black gloves and a black hat and had a blue bandana covering his face. The other suspect was described as a white male, 5 feet, 10 inches tall, with a heavy build who was wearing a red parka with a blue collar and blue baggy jeans and a black hat.

Germano said the second suspect was also wearing a blue bandana to cover his face during the armed robbery. She said the two suspects made off with an undisclosed amount of money. No one was hurt in the robbery.

Germano said the case is being investigated by Officer John Melto and Det. Eric Clarizia.
