The Olive Garden and Onion Town Grill allegedly sold a Bud Light bottle of beer to an 18-year-old girl in July without asking for ID or being shown ID, Police Chief Neil Ouellette told the Board of Selectmen this week.
Both instances occurred on July 27 when a liquor compliance check was conducted at all 48 business in town that hold a liquor license.
The checks were all done between 6 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. on July 27, Ouellette said.
The two violations were "not great," Ouellete said, "but it is better than some of the communities around here."
Selectman Gardner Trask said he was happy to see so many businesses in compliance, including some with new owners.
Olive Garden opened about a year ago on Route 114 and has not had any previous violation, Ouellette said. There have been no violation at Onion Town under the current management
The Board of Selectmen scheduled a hearing on Oct. 16 to hear from restaurant management and consider a penalty.
