What's Your Favorite Thing About Fall in Danvers?

In honor of this special season, we want to know what comes to your mind when you think of autumn in town.

The leaves are changing, the air is finally starting to feel crisp, and with the scents of pumpkin spice and apple crisp coming from the kitchen, one has to know: fall has arrived in Danvers.

In honor of this special season, we want to know what comes to your mind when you think of autumn in town. Is it a special event? A favorite food from a local spot? A certain location that's especially nice with the fall foliage? Comment and let us know!

Here is a list we compiled based on our reader submissions, and a few we added in, too:

What's Your Favorite Thing About Fall in Danvers?

1. Fall flavors! Whether you're at Connors Farm, Clark Farm, or Folly Hill, there's something better about fresh picked fruits. Plus, the possibilities in the kitchen are endless. Check out the two most recent ones contributor Michelle Gilliss created: Fettuccini with Pumpkin Cream Sauce and Savory Pumpkin Soup.

2. Nothing says fall more than cheering on your hometown football team. After defeating Lynnfield on Thursday night, the Danvers High Falcons are currently 3-2 in their season. Up next, the team faces Triton on Friday night at 7 p.m. in the Deering Stadium.

3. Salem might be crowded with tourists, but here in Danvers, we know where the history lies. If you're looking to educate yourself, check out the Eight Historic Sites in Danvers Connected to Salem Witch Trials

4. Reader Priscilla Karolides Herrick said she "has always loved looking across the river from my home at Pope's Landing and watching the foliage peak on Folly Hill. There's a big chunk out of it now because of the building that has taken place up there but hopefully it will just add to the beauty."

5. Reader Delia Santapaula Stanley said she loves the "amazing foliage pictures at Endicott Park."

I love the fresh produce you can buy at the few farms that are left in Danvers.
