Wizards Take Over Loews Theater in Danvers
Fans dress in costume for the midnight opening of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1" on Friday. The lines filled the theater lobby well in advance.
Harry Potter is a worldwide phenomenon.
When the seven-book series, written by J.K. Rowling was first published, children and adults alike fell in love with the quirky and awkward 11-year-old wizard named Harry Potter. It was with Potter's first wizarding adventure at Hogwarts that a fan-base was created. In fact, most Potter fans could say they "grew up" with Harry; as the boy wizard's character grew, so did the fans.
Late Thursday night, fans flooded the AMC Loews Liberty Tree Mall movie theater for a midnight viewing of the second-to-last movie in the Harry Potter series: "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1."
And they came out dressed for the occasion (see the excited fans in costume in the image gallery accompanying this story).
