Here's a look ahead at road construction going on in town this coming week and where you might experience traffic delays. You guessed it! The National Weather Service is forecasting another snowstorm later this week that will deposit 8-12 inches of some heavy white stuff in town. “Another nor’easter taking aim at southern New England” is how the weather service puts it. ‘Nother nor’easter? The National Weather Service is predicting another winter snowstorm for Wednesday, starting in the early morning – snowfall may start after 3 a.m. – and lasting throughout the day, eventually turning into snow showers. NWS is now predicting snowfall of 7-12 inches As of Sunday night, other weather news outlets were labeling the storm as another nor’easter that may blow its way up from the southeastern corner of the country and pass through the northeastern states. Motorists should have a simple commute for the most part this week with clear skies and mid-30s temperatures predicted for Monday to Friday. Snow showers are forecast for Friday and Saturday, so motorists should use caution when traveling. 128 construction continues As for road construction this week, there may be some intermittent delays on Route 128 at High Street as work crews now begin excavation of the area around the bridge that was demolished and bring in gravel to create an access ramp. A portion of the bridge near the unused MBTA railroad line and Route 35 will be torn …

That being said, the construction season for roadwork is now over, so don't expect too much activity with town projects in the meantime. Some final touches – for the moment – on road and utility repairs on Bates and Riverside streets were applied Friday with the long-awaited repaving of those streets.
