Danvers Teens Close Out Summer Reading Program With Prizes

Here's what's need to know today in Danvers.

Today is Tuesday, Aug. 20. Here are five things to know today in Danvers.

  1. The last day of the teen summer reading program at the library is Tuesday. Teens fill out a review card for every book they've read over the summer (between June 20 and Aug. 20) and get prize cards in return. Prizes include gift cards to Orange Leaf and AMC Loews Theatre, signed books and chocolate.
  2. Next up for the summer concert series at the Rotary Pavilion is Blue Moon on Wednesday. Concerts start at 6 p.m.
  3. Don't forget Oldies Night has been rescheduled to this Wednesday. The event was rained out during the Danvers Family Festival, but the musical street fair will take over Danvers Square Aug. 21 from 6-9 p.m.
  4. Cakes for Occasions is offering step-by-step cake decorating classes for kids on specific projects.
  5. Welcome to the Jungle on Sept. 7. The corn maze at Connors Farm opens next month.
