DoubleTree Celebrates One Year in Danvers and Haunted Lighthouses

Today is Wednesday, Oct. 23. Here are five things to know today in Danvers.

  1. The North Shore Technology Council meets Wednesday morning (7:30 a.m.) for breakfast at the Danversport Yacht Club to hear from guest speaker Daniel Serfaty, the chairman and CEO of Aptima, Inc.
  2. The DoubleTree Boston North Shore is celebrating its first anniversary as part of the DoubleTree family on Wednesday (5:30-8 p.m.). There will be rich fall flavors of New England and some local brews.
  3. Jeremy D’Entremont is at the library Wednesday to talk about "Haunted Lighthouses of New England"...or are they? D'Entremont shares firsthand knowledge of some of the mystifying tales and spine-chilling events that have taken place in New England lighthouses.
  4. Christ the Redeemer Anglican Church is hosting a concert with the Fran Dagostino Band Saturday (7:30 p.m.) to kick off its new Three Cords Coffeehouse series.
  5. Holy Trinity Methodist Church on Sylvan Street is holding its fall harvest fair on Saturday from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.
