Horror Writer Dimbleby at Used Book Superstore and Flood Insurance Rates

Today is Friday, Sept. 27. Here are five things to know today in Danvers.

  1. New England horror writer Eric Dimbleby will be at the Danvers Used Book Superstore on Saturday for a book signing from 4-7 p.m. His latest work is "The Klinik."
  2. Job fair: Over at the Northshore Mall, there will be a holiday job fair going on Saturday from noon - 5 p.m. More details here.
  3. Make a free pink stretch band and bracelet Saturday at A.C. Moore from 1-3 p.m. to show your support for in the fight against breast cancer.
  4. Open houses: St. John's Prep is hosting an open house Sunday for prospective students while over in Wakefield, Nazareth Academy is also hosting an open house for new pupils.
  5. Flood Insurance: The Federal Emergency Management Administration and Congressman John Tierney will be over in Lynn Monday to allow area residents to voice any concerns they have at the higher flood insurance rates they're likely seeing with the introduction of new flood maps from FEMA.
