Limited Access to Library Resources This Week During Catalog Maintenance

Here's what you need to know today in Danvers.

Today is Tuesday, Jan. 7. Here are five things to know today in Danvers.

  1. The library will be conducting some maintenance on its library catalog system this week, Tuesday through Thursday. During that time, patrons won't be able to check your library record, get a new card, pay any due fines or place a hold on an item. You will be able to look up items in the catalog though or check out or return materials. Maintenance is expected to start Tuesday around 9 p.m.
  2. The Fitzgerald family and Supino's Restaurant arehosting an art auction Tuesday night to benefit families with children fighting neuroblastoma. Proceeds from the event go to the Fitzgerald Cancer Fund. There will be live music, gift baskets, door prizes and more.
  3. The Board of Selectmen meets Tuesday (7 p.m.) in the Toomey Room at Town Hall.
  4. The deadline to apply for admission next fall to the new regional vocational school is this Wednesday. You can find the application online here.
  5. State Sen. Joan Lovely will be holding office hours for constituents on Friday (9-10 a.m.) at Danvers Town Hall.
