World Series Trophy Makes the Rounds in Danvers
Here's what you need to know today in Danvers.
Today is Friday, Dec. 20. Here are five things to know today in Danvers.
- The Red Sox World Series trophy was making the rounds in town recently. It was at Danvers High School for a couple hours and Danvers finest got a chance to admire it as well at the police station as you can see in the above photo.
- The Giving Garden at the Liberty Tree Mall will be available through Friday. The five trees represent five local charities and are located in the Best Buy wing. Each tree contains ornaments of specific wishes for that organization and mall shoppers can then purchase an item listed and bring it back to the Giving Garden by Dec. 20 to ensure delivery by Christmas. Gifts can also be dropped off directly at each organization. This year it's Haven from Hunger, Operation Troop Support, Salvation Army Angel Tree, Toys for Tots and Hope on Wheels (run by Hyundai Village of Danvers).
- Maeve, a local female trio, will perform a Christmas concert at Christ the Redeemer Anglican Church Saturday as the next installment in the Three Cords Coffeehouse series.
- The Lee Hawkins Band is scheduled to perform at Supino's Restaurant on Saturday night.
- The Saturday matinee show at the library resumes this weekend with a tribute to Woody Allen. "Crimes and Misdemeanors" is at 2 p.m. in the Gordon Room.
