Danversbank Charitable Foundation Gives to Elder Services

Cooperative Elder Services, Inc. (CESI) recently received a $2,475 grant from the Danversbank Charitable Foundation.  CESI will use the grant to support the Therapeutic Gardening Program for low-income elders at the Adult Day Health center in Burlington, MA.  The Danversbank Charitable Foundation grant will make it possible to purchase gardening supplies and equipment, as well as patio furniture and raised planters.

A non-profit organization established in 1979, CESI provides Adult Day Health and Memory Care services throughout the Middlesex County area.  Each program provides a welcoming day-time environment for local seniors, with nursing care, nutrition, socialization with peers, therapeutic activities, social services, caregiver support and round-trip transportation offered throughout the week.  The mission of CESI is to delay or prevent nursing home placement by promoting health and independence, and enhancing the quality of life for elders living in the community.  To find out more or schedule a tour, please contact Katrina Zinger at 781-270-5751 or visit www.elderdayservices.com

The mission of the Danversbank Charitable Foundation Inc. is to strengthen communities and residents by providing funds to eligible non-profit organizations. The foundation’s goal is to find opportunities to make valuable investments in charitable, scientific, literary or educational areas where supportive funding will yield significant results.  For more information, please visit www.peoples.com/peoples/Footer/About-People%27s-United/Community-Leadership/Charitable-Giving
