Light a Candle of Remembrance and Thanksgiving for Much-Loved Animal Companions

On Sunday, November 17, 2013, from 5 to 5:30 p.m., the All Saints Perfect Paws Pet Ministry (PPPM) invites humans and their much loved companion animals to attend a special service of remembrance and thanksgiving to celebrate each other and the beautiful companion animals that have graced and informed our lives.
As part of our Thanksgiving PPPM service -- with Holy Communion and Homily -- the Rev. Mary Scott Wagner, rector of Church of the Good Shepherd, in Reading -- and former rector of the Danvers church -- will invite everyone who wishes to light candles of thanksgiving and remembrance for departed animal friends, and to celebrate the companionship of those beloved animals that currently share their lives.
Our All Saints pet ministry volunteers will be available to help assist with pet(s) as people came forward to light their candles.
“This is a poignant, sweet and intimate service that gives us the opportunity to remember, reflect and appreciate the animals that have graced our lives,” says Fran Weil, the ministry’s Pet Chaplain and pet loss bereavement counselor. “Together we express and share the sorrow and the joy that come with endings and new beginnings. Together we give thanks for all of God’s creation. Our service is deeply meaningful for all who come to pray, to light a candle, and to add the hope and light of faith to our world.”
All faiths and all leashed dogs and crated household pets are always invited to attend our worship service.
All Saints Perfect Paws Pet Ministry meets the third Sunday  of every month for a special people-and-their-companion-animals service. For more information, please call 978-774-1150, email Fran Weil, or visit us on the Web, at www.allsaintsepiscopalnorthshore.org/petministry
