Danvers Resident's Theme Wins Topsfield Fair Contest

Jenna Melvin's "Let the Good Times Grow" was the top vote-getter.

Danvers resident Jenna Melvin has won the official theme of the 2014 Topsfield Fair contest.

Melvin’s “Let the Good Times Grow” was the top vote-getter. Last Friday, Topsfield Fair announced the five finalists from the nearly 150 submissions on its Facebook page. Facebook fans then voted for their favorite.

Melvin’s submission got more than 45% of the total votes. She will receive a prize package containing four tickets to the 2014 fair and Topsfield Fair souvenirs.

Martha Morrison of Topsfield was first runner up with “Harvest the Fun,” which received about 25% of the vote. The other three finalists were Heather Bonanno of Lowell, Jen Brammer-DiFiore of Melrose and Lisa Whitman of Abington. Each will receive two tickets to the 2014 fair.

The 2014 Topsfield Fair will run from Friday, Oct. 3 through Monday, Oct. 13. Discounted tickets will be on sale in the summer and the fair’s major events will be announced in July. Find out more information about the fair here.
