DARE Golf Tourney Coming Up in September

The Danvers Police annual DARE golf tournament is scheduled for Sept. 16.

The Danvers Police are once again gearing up for their annual golf tournament that benefits the DARE program, keeping kids off drugs from an early age.

This year's golf tournament is scheduled for Monday, Sept. 16 at the Ferncroft Country Club in Danvers/Middleton.

"The D.A.R.E. curriculum focuses on teaching life skills such as dealing with peer pressure, bullying, managing stress, developing problem solving skills and building self‐esteem," a press release states.

Members of the business community and residents are encouraged to set up a team and become an official sponsor of the tournament. The tournament offers a gold, silver and bronze sponsorship level for $750, $250 and $100.

The gold sponsorship includes a foursome in the tournament, your business name on one of the 18 holes' flags and your name printed in the local paper "showing your support."
