Each year for the last five years the Elliott family and their next door neighbors, Glenn and Lorna Boudreau, light up Arthur Street with their holiday display. Christine said it gets bigger each year, but it isn't a competition for Shawn and Glen, instead chosing to work on and plan it together. Many of the folks that come by to look ask if they can make a donation. Shawn always declined as he was doing this because he wanted to. Then they thought... we can raise money for a great cause!

The families chose Children's Hospital for several reasons.  They wanted their children to get a better understanding of giving at the holiday season. Shawn's sister Lisa works as a nurse at Children's Hospital and giving to the children who aren't able to be at home at Christmas was a way to help make the season a little brighter.  Christine also said that although they are very fortunate that their chidlren are very healthy, their daugher Brooke did have minor surgery at Children's a few years ago and the staff there were wonderful. .
