Perfect Paws Pet Ministry First Anniversary Gathering

Since it's inaugural service a year ago, people faithfully make their way to the Perfect Paws Pet Ministry service, joined by their beloved animal companions -- from the smallest Tea Cup Yorkies, to a decorated Marine war dog, Nibbles, wounded in the line of duty, and a giant, lumbering love of a Newfoundland dog named Cleo.

In a short year, those who attend Perfect Paws have come together to form a vibrant, spirit-filled and cohesive congregation that sings hymns together, prays, shares the Holy Eucharist, hears a brief reflection by Rev. Thea Keith-Lucas, rector of Calvary Episcopal Church, and enjoys fellowship with one another, celebrating the special, rewarding, human-animal bond by renewing their covenant of care with all animals in their lives and in our world.

The Perfect Paws Pet Ministry has expanded to include the Circle of Healing Pet Loss Bereavement Peer Support Group, and also offers memorial services and emotional support for pet owners during pet surgery and euthanasia.
