Genevieve Calandro died a month after being taken to a hospital from Radius HealthCare Center in Danvers.

The family of a 90-year-old woman who died in 2008 was awarded $14 million by a Middlesex County jury.

Genevieve Calandro died a month after being taken to a hospital from Radius HealthCare Center on Liberty Street in Danvers. Doctors found the woman had a festering pressure sore on her back, acute appendicitis, a urinary tract infection, kidney failure, uncontrolled diabetes and severe dehydration, according to the Associated Press.

The jury ruled that Radius, which is now out of business, had been grossly negligent.
