Saluto encourages volunteers to bring a cordless drill to help secure the decking on the walkway.

During a recent update in font of the Board of Selectmen, Saluto said that in June a request was put out for $5,000 in donations to finish the project and donations came in that exceeded $5,000. There is now enough money to complete the elevated walkway over the swamp by the end of October.

"I'm overwhelmed, it's absolutely amazing," Saluto said.

Then, in the spring, signs and benches will be added to "dress it up," he said.
